An hour ago, Jonathan Gold tweeted about “assembling a cow’s head in [his] stomach, one taco at a time.” Since then I haven’t been able to escape the thought of lengua tacos from Tacos Arizas in Echo Park.  For the taste, price and no frills access, I am this close to hopping into my car and driving there right now.  That is saying a lot because the time it would take for me to devour the 2 or 3 tacos my body is desperately craving would only be 1/8 of the time it would take for me to get there from here.

I should also mention the other noteworthy taco truck in Echo Park: Taco Zone.  They’re good, too.  And, hey, if you’re feeling extra hipster (or if you had one too many PBRs and didn’t get enough of your Eastside hipster fix), this is perhaps the better option.  But if it’s lengua you seek, look no further than Tacos Arizas.
